Lab

The CartoSoft Lab is where we tinker around with new and existing geospatial technologies (now that's one fancy term) to eventually develop full-fledged applications.

JungleBot
Our latest little side project is not even a geospatial project! Crazy. JungleBot is a little Twitter Bot that allows users to search for books, music, and DVDs directly from Twitter. We sure do like the way this Twitter Bot tweets.

mapdango
One of our more popular projects is mapdango™, a map mashup that combines content from WeatherBug™, Flickr™, Wikipedia™, Eventful™, and Gruvr™. Take it for a spin and let us know what you think.

GIS Jobs Clearinghouse Map Mashup
GIS jobs on a map. Who'd a thunk it? We did. We teamed up with The GIS Jobs Clearinghouse to develop a map mashup for their jobs listings.

MPOs Map Mashup
One of our first mashups, the Metropolitan Planning Organizations map mashup was developed in conjunction with the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO). This mashup includes boundaries for many of the MPOs in the country.

We also have a few other projects cooking in the lab, including a web-based map server called Internet Map Server™, a data integration kit called KML Burner™, and some widgets for map-based environmental activism which we have decided to name Green GIS. Stay tuned for additional information on these projects.

We welcome any comments, suggestions, or feedback you may have on the good ol' Lab.
